Welcome! Thank you for visiting! Our website is dedicated to promoting the gift of handbell music in Worship .
The power of the web is amazing! We have visitors from all over the globe. Many visitors may have no idea where we are located. Owasso is a suburb on the northeast side of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Just click on the MAP link above to see exactly where we are located. Owasso is a Cherokee Indian word that means "turn around point" or "the end of the trail". When our town was "born", it was named Owasso because this is where the train track ended and the trains had to turn around. Literally, it was the end of the trail for the train.

For my clients, my software program scans the MLS every 15 minutes looking for that brand new listing that matches their search criteria. As soon as that home goes on the market, my clients receive an email notification. Be the first to know!
Want to see and hear the handbells ring? There are many videos posted throughout the website. Click here for videos of the handbells in Worship and more. When do the bells ring again? See Below!
Are you looking for a handbell choir? There are over 50 handbell choirs all around the greater Tulsa area. Some handbell choirs are well established. Some are brand new. Many are desperately needing more ringers.
Experienced ringer or not, I can help you find the right handbell choir! My list of handbell choirs includes the name of the current handbell director with their contact information.
The video to the right was produced at MIT. It was filmed with special high speed film to capture the effect on the bell casing when rung. The video is shown in ultra slow motion so that the human eye can see the results.
Even the most experienced handbell ringer will be shocked at what happens. Enjoy!
An Outreach Ministry
Up and coming handbell choirs often need help but do not know where to find the help they need. As a true outreach ministry, the handbell choirs of FUMC of Owasso stand ready to help!
Would you like to have an established choir ring in your church to promote your handbell ministry? OK! Would attending a handbell festival designed specifically for your choir help? OK! Do you need a local "mentor" to help you organize your ministry? OK! Would you like to have a "mini clinic" in your church? OK!
We normally schedule only one outreach ministry event per month. Our schedule fills up fast. Please plan to submit your request at least 2 month's in advance. Last minute requests are very difficult to honor. Plus, our first responsibility is to our congregation, who pays the bills!
Featuring 12 of the best handbell choirs from both the Tulsa area and the Oklahoma City area ringing 3 songs together. Then several choirs will ring a song featuring only their choir in what promises to be one of the best concert events in Green Country this year!
This is a do not miss handbell event for anyone who loves to hear handbells ring!
The GATHERING on MAIN in Owasso has become a "go-to" destination on the first Thursday of each month from April to October. Every month thousands of people enjoy several blocks of street vendors featuring arts and crafts, professional services and a food court. In addition, several groups provide entertainment in two different stage locations.
On JUNE 4, 2015 the handbell ministry of FUMC of Owasso was a featured musical group. Typically, handbells only ring indoors since our musical instruments are so susceptible to the outdoor elements. We are praying for an Oklahoma miracle: no wind and no rain!
Success! 22 ringers joined forces to introduce up to 3,000 people attending the Gathering on Main to handbells. The crowd was treated to music from the Phantom of the Opera, El Shaddai, Shine Jesus Shine and many more popular tunes.

For a special interest website with a very small target audience, we are constantly surprised by the number of daily visits we get. On average, 25 unique visitors per day view at least 3 pages. Due to the videos, each visit lasts almost 10 minutes. Often, with a BIG announcement or when a brand new video is uploaded, website visitors jump to as many as 150 visits per day for a couple of days. Thank you!
