Ring of Fire youth handbell choir
The Ring of Fire group of youth started ringing together in the fall of 2012 as beginners in the Genesis Ringers choir. In the summer of 2013, this group of ringers "graduated" into the newly formed Ring of Fire choir. This created room to start a new group of beginning ringers in the Genesis Ringers choir.
As the director of this group of youth, they are very special to me because they were my very first group of youth ringers. It has been quite a journey! Last Christmas, they asked me if they could play something more exciting (for them) in church? I asked them what they had in mind? Their answer? Lady Gaga! My response was, why not Pirates of the Caribbean? To which I received a very enthusiastic response of YES!
Pirates of the Caribbean is a level three, and not an easy level 3 by any means. I promised that I would buy Pirates for them if they committed to practicing all summer long with me. And now, everyone attending the concluding concert of the Green Country Ring handbell festival will hear the ROF perform Pirates of the Caribbean!
